About the Event
Join us as we kick-off the Library After Dark Series with local author Marianne Rudd Worth, the author of “Pedal Pushers Coast-to-Coast: A Cross-Country Bike Tour Fueled by Kindness." Her memoir chronicles her and her husband’s bicycle journey from nearby Fort Stevens State Park to Plymouth Rock, MA, with the challenges, joys, and surprises of their 4500 mile, twelve-week bicycle trip. In addition to changing terrain, they also discovered the curiosity and kindness of strangers, and their lasting impact.
Attend Rudd’s presentation of photos and stories of this trip, and hear snippets of more bicycle adventures, including three other trans-USA trips (including one solo), New Zealand north to south, and multiple bike adventures in Europe.
